Cybersecurity

There is a clear technological trend towards an increase in medical device connectivity. There are more and more functionalities that involve storing and transmitting patient data in the cloud or hospital networks. On the other hand, there is also an increase in reports related to the theft of personal data or attacks and hijacking of networks, including hospital networks.

Often, it is the hospital networks that are vulnerable. At other times, networks have an adequate level of security, but connected medical devices generate vulnerabilities. Data related to patients' health are considered very sensitive to exposure, and hospital infrastructure is considered critical. From both perspectives, a very high level of security is required.

MSC MED has a new cybersecurity division, which can help your company with the best way to protect against these breaches. Regulatory agencies have this issue on the agenda. In the second half of 2020, ANVISA published Guide 38/2020, regarding cybersecurity practices for medical devices.

Count on us for suitability. We are serving manufacturers or importers of medical devices, or hospital networks.
